I had an incredible experience at Douglas J Institute with Abigail Postal! I went in for highlights, and she truly nailed the look—it turned out exactly how I wanted. Beyond her technical skills, Abigail is so easy to talk to, which made the time fly by. The highlight of the visit was the Aveda signature rituals; the hand, arm, and scalp massage were so relaxing and made the whole appointment feel like a spa day. Highly recommend booking with Abigail if you want great results and a peaceful experience!

It was my first time at Douglas J Institute, and it was my first time getting a perm. I’ve wanted a perm for a while and had a style in mind. My stylist was Sammy Hill and she really did her thing!! I absolutely love my perm and it came out like the inspo photos I showed her. I definitely recommend trying out Douglas J Institute, it seems like they have a lot of really talented stylists :)

Genuinely love coming here to get my braids done. As a single mom of 3 it makes it a bit more attainable. That said, the real reason I have enjoyed my braiding sessions is because the students help one another out, give each other constructive criticism and do a stellar job, the instructors are so good and float around to make sure everything is ok. The energy I have received from the students and faculty who have ended up braiding my hair is excitement and achievement and confidence. Love it. Something to keep in mind is that for braids they are learning and growing. You can’t expect something from students that someone with 20 years of braiding experience can give you. I absolutely love my hair from here. Thanks Peyton and Lydia!
